Clockers Clockers is a fictional novel based on life in the housing projects in New Jersey. The projects reveal the story of Strike, a nineteen year old clocker which in this case means “a street drug dealer”, with serious stomach problems. Strike is a clever and very vigilant dealer which is why Rodney, a weight dealer (dealer of kilos) chooses him as his lieutenant on the streets. Rodney is a middle age man who has already spent some time in jail, has kids and a corner store not to far from the housing projects. Rodney has the best product available (the drugs) and he sort of has a monopoly on this side of New Jersey.
