Who is to blame in The Crucible

In a true historical tragedy the influence of many intellectual and practical roots spreads the blame to everybody involved, as is evident in The Crucible. It is not just one person or group of people that are to blame, but rather every Salem citizen connected with the incident is partially to blame. This tragedy was simply the expression of a society that was rotten to the core. Those making the accusations are primarily to blame. After all, it was these accusations that ultimately got people killed. The accusations were perfect, because they could not be proved or disproved. However, one must look deeper, at the cause of these indictments.
