Even though it was about interracial marriages, it still can be used as an example for gay and lesbian marriages because it was about the right to marriage. ... Pierce is all for gay and lesbian couples having the right to make their union legal in the eyes of the law like the heterosexuals get to do. And she also concluded that the pursuit of equality should not be tossed away because it is often well matched with injustice.
