The ability to reproduce has been seen by man as a God given right, but what happens when that ability is not present and a couple trying desperately to become pregnant can not? Assisted reproductive technologies have become the answer for many people, yet it is seen as a threat by many others. Procedures such as in artificial insemination, vitro fertilization, surrogate mothers, and embryo freezing have become a legal and ethical hot topic in our society. Those that are for assisted reproductive technologies argue that those who want to parent a child should have the right to do so, and if they can afford to use technologies advances then it is there to be used. They argue that reproduction is a God given right; therefore God gave man the abilities to fertilize an egg, out of the womb, and implant and a fetus in a woman’s uterus. They do not see the fertility treatments as man playing God but only as Man doing the work of God.
