Why MBA?
Over the past six years, my career goals have been defined and modified as my professional responsibilities and experiences have changed. I have gained managerial experience and have learned to work within a team environment in the investment banking industry. While I have excelled in my career, I have also begun to understand the value of an M.B.A. in helping me reach my near-term goal of becoming a high-tech business development manager and my ultimate goal of starting a private equity firm that is focused on making sound investments in high-tech companies. By leveraging my experience in finance, strategy, and my Anderson M.B.A., I will be able to identify emerging companies that have the key ingredients for success – the best technology, a proven strategy, and strong operations. My current experience as a consultant to Renaissance Partners, a hedge fund, is giving me first-hand experience on how to start and run an investment fund.
