First Thanksgiving Day
The First Thanksgiving Day Before I came to the United State, the great foods, delicious turkey and family reunion were the most general things that I had thought about the Thanksgiving Day was just a holiday for the American people. Last Thanksgiving, it was my first Thanksgiving of my life. My friend invited me to join his Thanksgiving Dinner, and I had the chance to hear that Thanksgiving is historic and it is not only a holiday, but it had the gratitude for the helping from the Wampanoag. ... During their first winter, over half of the settlers died of starvation or epidemics. Those who survived began sowing in the first spring. The first coming summer the Wampanoag taught the colonist how to growing. ... Finally the fields produced a yield rich beyond expectations; therefore, the colonists decided a day of Thanksgiving to the Lord be fixed and the helping from the friend, Wampanoag. ...
