Mass Production?
Mass production? Surftech is a machine made surfboard company, which has been ruining many shapers careers since 1992. These machine made boards are putting many of the shapers out of business. Countless numbers of them that have been making surfboards for their entire lives have had to find other professions. They can no longer sell enough boards to make a profit ever since these "fake" surfboards came out. They claim to be the "next generation in surfboard construction", but are they? Ever since Surftech’s debut in 1992, shapers have had a very difficult time finding jobs, not many of them have had any other experience. Although the really well-known shapers are still in business it has not been an easy road for them. Some of the most famous shapers have sold their designs to Suftech so they can mass produce the most popular designs. But why is it that everyone is buying in to this trend? If you watch you can find the most spastic professional surfers throwing the biggest tricks riding for this company. I mean who wouldn't want to ride the same exact board as their favorite professional surfer?
