There are many reasons that demonstrate this law to be neither effective nor accepted by role leaders and civil rights groups. Furthermore, I feel this ban is contradictory since the state of Florida allows homosexual couples to be foster parents but not adoptive parents. Unjust Florida officials pursued to remove a 10-year-old boy from the home of a gay couple who raised the child since childhood; consequently, this caused a massive demonstration of role leaders and civil rights agencies who organized to show their opposition to the ban, gaining nationwide attention.
