It is even sometimes too brutal and stressing to show the reality. ...
The Series 7 is a good example to show where the modern entertainment and TV industry has come now. The history of the TV entertainment has changed over the past few decades. ... One could watch them continuously and forget thus about own problems and lifestyle, about non-satisfaction and reality. Unreal things were good substitutes for the dark and brutal reality and stress and a way out for those numerous people who could not fight it without the help of television. ... The manner of showing people, thus, has changed from showing characters as more attractive, and more willing to enter relationships, to the less attractive but more real people and finally, the TV shows have begun to show people who they really are. Maybe, it is just for the sake of the story, or maybe it is for the purpose opposite to the purpose of showing those soup operas – to show life on TV worse than it is (in operas it was better than in reality) to make people feel better and realize they are happy and satisfied, and that it can be worse than what they have now.
