Volunteering

My first year in junior high I entered a club called Community Problem Solvers (CmPS). It was an organization in which we found a problem in our immediate area, thought of a way to fix it, fixed the problem and then competed with other junior highs for whom did the best job at solving the problem in their community. After brainstorming ideas we came up with an idea to “adopt” two elderly ladies in Tomball, Texas, and a few families with students enrolled at our school. Her house was falling apart. The yard was overgrown, roof caving in, and she was confined to a wheel chair but did not have access to a side walk so she wasn’t able to leave her front porch.
