Abstract Expressionism was an American art movement which started to develop during the 1940s. Abstract Expressionism is a genre of painting that shows the subjective responses to scenes or emotions rather than the scenes themselves. ... The piece created is non-representational art, meaning there are no concrete objects represented. Abstract art is never planned out from the start because it has a strong dependence on chance and feelings, the artist doesn’t know what is going to end up where or what the final piece is going to look like. Some people believe that Abstract expressionism is a release of unconscious creativity which is hidden inside.
