Banduras Social Learning Theory
Social learning theory focuses on the learning that occurs within a social context. It considers that people learn from one another, including such concepts as observational learning, imitation, and modelling. Among others Albert Bandura is considered the leading proponent of this theory.
His theory has previously been known as "Social Learning Theory" but he has recently renamed it "Social Cognitive Theory" as a better description of what he had been advocating since the 1960s.
