The person that I choose to research for Spanish Heritage Month is the 18th century painter Francisco de Goya.
Goya was born on March 30, 1746 in Fuendetodos Spain. ... Goya ( as he is known) is a fine example of the “Spanish spirit” and is also a fine example of how artists are influenced so much by what is around them and what they experience. ...
When Goya was a teenager he learned to draw form a local artist named Jose
Luzan. Later on he went to Italy to continue his studies in art and painting. After many
attempts of enrolling in the Royal Academy of San Fernando, Goya traveled to Rome. At
the age of 17 Goya went to an art school in Madrid. Two painters Tiepolo and
Antonino Raphael Mengs influenced his style of art.
