Learning statement
This assignment is a reflective learning statement based upon the learning log that I have been keeping for the first 6 weeks of the module. I’ve have learned many new ideas and concepts about international issues in business from this module and have had previous knowledge from other modules refreshed.

‘International business is all commercial transactions – private and governmental – between two or more countries.’
I have also learned the main reasons why companies decide to engage in international business. Although once again these issues are mainly common knowledge. ... The one thing that was common knowledge to me was the fact that companies engage in international business to expand their customer base. ... But by further reading the main textbook ‘international business’ i have learned that companies also engage in international business to acquire more resources and minimise risks. Although I haven’t fully been able to understand some of these issues at this time.
As I have read more into the reasons why international business is different from domestic business.
