To describe the differences between leadership and management, it is important to first define and understand the two individually. Leadership plays an important role for it deals with the visions, ideas, passion and inspiration of people and their situations. Management, on the other hand, requires persistence and discipline and involves directing and controlling of a group of people. Management is referred to as “an explicit set of tools and techniques, based on reasoning and testing, that can be used in a variety of ways.” Leadership is known as “eliciting cooperation and teamwork from a large network of people and keeping the key people in that network motivated, using every manner of persuasion. ...
Leadership deals with “futures” and “feelings” whereas management looks more on “facts” and “form. ...
