About Someone

If there is one moment in my life that would not be forgotten, that moment would have to be my high school years. I couldn’t wait to get to high school during my eighth grade year, but when I entered high school, I couldn’t wait to graduate. I guess I didn’t see the importance of high school until after I graduated. It all started back in September of 1997, which was the transition of Thompson Middle School to Huguenot High School for me. I don’t think that there was a strong enough word to describe how I felt. I believe that word may be more toward the negative side. All I could think about was I have to be up and ready for the school bus at around 6:45 in the morning. Am I going to school or a full time job? I had to be up and ready bright and early, Monday through Friday, for about seven hours a day of learning. New faces, new surroundings, and a totally new environment were of the major changes that I encountered. I would consider myself somewhat prepared to face these changes, but I was still a little shaky about it. I guess an adaptation had to occur on my behalf if I planned on attending high school. It’s only my ninth grade year and I’m already counting down the days until my graduation.
