Billingual Thoughts

|
Billingual Thoughts “Billingual Education is the most important educational inovation ever launched in this country on behalf of Hispanics” (Bilingual Programs: Crucial Vehicles). Arciniega and Mujica have two completely different thoughts. Both argue about having Spanish in schools. The difference is that one of the former advocates wants Spanish as a course in school and the other later states that it is not necessary to be taught in school, but English should be emphasized. Although they both disagree, they have good points enriching their beliefs. Do Mexican Americans care for an educational course of Spanish in schools? Arciniega supports strongly the idea of having a Spanish course in school. He states that in California, language rights have great value for Mexican Americans.
