Bring it On

An Evaluation “Bring It On” The most fun I had in high school was cheerleading and going to the movies. So it wasn’t surprising when Universal Studios came out with a movie about cheerleading, “Bring It On”, in 2000 that there was a reaction. The first thing that came to mind was to talk my boy friend into going with me to see it. I’m glad I did. Jessica Bendinger directed “Bring It On”. With a teenage, comedy genre staring Kristen Dunst, Eliza Dushku, and Gabrille Union may very well be the surprise teenage movie of the last five years. The film is funnier, more entertaining, and less exploitative than might be expected for a movie meant to lure in teenagers. Although there may be a little to much drama, and more belly button scenes then needed. The film characterizes every cheerleading stereotype, both male and female with plenty of splits, cartwheels and highflying action without making fun of the male cheerleader and using dumb blond jokes.
