Benjamin Franklin, who was a statesman, a printer, an inventor, a scientist, and a landowner, and one of the well-known powers behind the emancipation proclamation, the declaration of independence and was on of the pioneers in the charting of electricity, wrote this document.
In the document he states that there is no need for importing slaves from Africa, because of the increase of the white population to fill out the existing and future need for labour.
