Comparing the work of Langston Hughes
Comparing the Work of Langston Hughes Langston Hughes writes about African American life during the middle decades of the last century. He celebrates the culture and heritage of the “Harlem Renaissance,” in the 1920’s. This is a vital tradition in the American life. His writings were racial in theme and treatment, yet he was so proud and remains true to African American heritage. His writings reflect that. Two of his writings, “Dream Variations” and “Negro” are a good example of Hughes’s work. In “Negro”, he is identifying his character as an African American who has many tasks in his way of life.
