The term bias demonstrates an injustice committed to a select population in the American vocabulary. Gender bias is a term which holds strong meaning, value, and creates surges of anger and rancor. Through the latter portion of the twentieth century, gender bias has become synonymous with education. Advocates on equality in the quality of education offered to both male and female students have taken a stance in the war against gender bias, in the American educational curriculum. ... Haplessly, to the amazement of educational advocates against bias, education is not short-changing female students. ... In this view of the American Association of University Women, it is inferred boys are resented for portraying the unfairly priveleged gender and as the obstacle in the road to gender equality for girls.
