Man Woman Millionaire In loveSome Like it Hot is more than just a comedy

Some Like It Hot (Billy Wilder, 1959, USA) starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis, and Jack Lemmon, is a superb comedy that keeps the audience laughing throughout the film. It also gives us a unique look at the changes of a tenor sax player that goes from a womanizing love ‘em and leave em’ musician to a caring man who is truly in love with a woman (With a few minor changes along the way!) Tony Curtis’ aliases ranged the spectrum from Joe the out of work musician, to Josephine the female saxophonist, to Junior the Shell Oil millionaire, back to plain old Joe the musician in his search that eventually led to who he really was and to the love of the girl that also loved him for who he really was not what he acted like.
