But for teenagers and young adults going to the movies has a greater impact on their lives. Movies affect American society by creating a constant pressure to fit in. Each year millions of young people attend movies unsuspecting of an underlying truth. Many times these movies give false ideas about the way society should behave. Think back to the last movie you saw, did you find yourself wishing that you could be like a person in the movie?
