Romeo and Juliet Mercutio

In the book Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, Romeo’s friend Mercutio has a large effect on both Romeo and Juliet’s lives. Mercutio’s actions cause the death of Juliet’s cousin Tybault. He indirectly causes Romeo and Juliet to meet, and he has an indirect cause in both Romeo and Juliet’s deaths.
In the book Mercutio’s first effect on Romeo and Juliet’s lives was the fact that he caused them to meet. Romeo had been feeling down about the fact that the woman he loved, Rosaline, did not return his affection.
