The Decision

I was in the tenth grade when I began to think about what was I going to do after high school. There were two options to choose from. The first option was to go to college and get an education. The second option was to join the military. My mother was against me going to the military. She thought college would be better. Finally, I realized it was my decision and I had to make the choice of where I would be spending the following years of my life. This was a very hard decision, but I had to make it as soon as possible. Time was getting close. I didn't know who to turn to about this situation. I couldn't talk to my mom about it because I already knew she was against the military and her focus would've been on going to college. I was alone whenever I mentioned the military to my family. My family believed the military wasn't the right thing for me.
