... He wrote many plays, each as special as the other, but Romeo and Juliet is widely known as one of Shakespeare’s best ever play. While we can only speculate the deep and meaningful meanings in some of the scenes, we can try and distinguish who was to blame for the deaths of the two lovers from Verona, Romeo and Juliet. ...
I believe that many people are to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet, but the main perpetrator was Mercutio.
Mercutio is like a confidant to Romeo, he has a jokey character and is liked by all in his family, but he is occasionally hotheaded and I believe this character is the fatal factor in the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. ... , I hate the word”
In Act 3, Scene 1, Tybalt looks to fight Romeo, Romeo shrugs him off but Mercutio gets involved in what is really none of his business, he provokes Tybalt, who we already know has a aggressive character, into a fight. ... This en-rages Romeo and causes him to seek revenge on Tybalt, killing him and getting himself (Romeo) banished from Verona. This leads on to Juliet’s desperation to see Romeo again after his banishment, and therefore has an in-direct effect on Friar Lawrence giving Juliet the sleeping potion which leads to Romeo getting confused after a mix up with communication, and consequently thinking Juliet is dead, which leaves Romeo in a desperate state causing him to commit suicide, then Juliet wakes up, finds Romeo dead and Kills herself.
