Christian aid was first set up in the year 1945 by some churches in the United Kingdom and Ireland. It was started because religious people relised that the poorer countries were not being treated properly so decided to take serious actions. They pulled together some people and and after a long time decided that it would be a good idea to set up a Charity led by christians they called the charity christian aid and it started quite well with a lot of interest from people. It soon became a lot more widley spread and is now avery well known christian charity a lot of people and churchs support it.
