The song America the Beautiful by Katharine Lee Bates is a song about America a hundred years ago, when it was beautiful. Today however, you seldom find many truly beautiful places in the United States. Listen to the opening line,"O beautiful for spacious skies. ... " My question is, who would want to live in America after 9-11 and the Patriot Act? Some people may think I am being un loyal to my country by saying that I think America is ugly, but I am only speaking what I think is true.
