|
|
The worst tragedy in the 1800’s was the death of Abraham Lincoln. He died one night while he was at the Ford’s Theater. President Lincoln went one night to see a play John Wilkes Booth followed Lincoln into the theatre and during the middle of the play shot Lincoln in the back of the head. Lincoln came out of the shooting unconscious and he never gained back consciousness before he died the next morning. This was thought to be one of the most devastating things to happen because the war had just ended and a southerner killed Lincoln.
