At first, the hunter gatherers acted much like wolves and other wild pack animals, keeping in small groups and only congregating for eating, sleeping, or other such activities. However, as time moved on, they moved into more and more sophisticated societies. Kingdoms like Babylon and Sumeria sprang up, and the hunter gatherer ways of life soon died out. The main reason for this was the upsurge in new technology and the ability to plant crops and raises animals for food instead of hunt and gather.
