A Change For the Better

Not respecting people of their freedom and forcing them to work on plantations all day while heat runs of their bodies, getting arrested for speaking out your thoughts or believing in different religions, basically leaving you with no rights, and women being rejected of their rights, not allowed to vote and have a say in society. Without these amendments, the world would not be close to being called, “The land of the free.” Three significant amendments that stick in my mind about being the most important and behind each of these amendments lie many important factors are freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition; Women’s suffrage; and slavery and involuntary servitude. “ That congress shall make no law respecting an establish of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise there of; or abridging the freedom of speech..." the first amendment reads. This amendment to me is the most important one because it affects me the most.
