The Bill of Rights were created to help allay worries of another dictating centralized government because some political parties do not believe in all of the citizens, the constitution is vague towards government powers and common folk were unsure about the constitution. ... The Bill of Rights will always be in affect to make sure no matter how far the governments powers go they can never take away the freedoms we possess, regardless of the Elastic Clause.
Most common people feared and/or resented the constitution believing that it was made for protecting the rights of the rich only. ... To relieve the fears of the new government, the Bill of Rights were to create a safe blanket of rights that gave trust and security into the government.
The Bill of Rights not only helped United States citizens in the time of the new government, but in addition to citizens throughout history.
