Harlem and the great migration

Harlem, the area that James Weldon Johnson dubbed the Negro, "Cultural Capital" was undisputedly the center of a complex cultural movement out of which emerged an outpour of black creativity. This was impart because it hled one of the largest settlements of blacks in any area outside of the south , due mainly to the migration of blacks from the south to the north.
