There have been many benefits from immigration, which has turned Australia around into a different society. ... So then in 1905 a change was made to the Immigration Restriction Act, the test could be given in any language chosen, and even though they changed the law it still did not really help with the results of people passing. So because of the Immigration Restriction Act the numbers of migrants coming to Australia slowed.
