I Have a Dream Speech Analysis

Martin Luther King Jr. once stood up in front of a crowd of African Americans, (along with many whites), proclaiming their rights and liberties, this speech is now know as “I Have a Dream.” He argued that after one hundred years the Negro is still not equal and is “crippled by the manacles of segregation.” Martin Luther tells the people that America has fallen short of fulfilling its promise of equality and in a sense wrote them a “bad check.” King used repetition to get his points across to the people.
