Francis Galton’s “Eugenics” grew from a theory of survival of the fittest to an amoral application of Alfred Ploetz’s “racial hygiene” by Nazi medical professionals to eliminate Jews, “lesser races”, “asocials” and the “hereditarily ill” between 1933 to 1945. Most doctors and nurses involved escaped prosecution; yet their willingness to apply “corrupt” science to the Nazi purpose legitimized racial policy, making institutionalized mass murder a reality. ... institutionalized mass murder using gas and cremation. ...
