The Incan Indians conquered what is now Ecuador in the 1400’s. In almost fifty-years the Incan Indians had united with all the Indian tribes already in Ecuador. Spanish conquerors took control of Ecuador by defeating the local rulers in 1534. Many Indian women married Spanish men creating the very first Meztizos in Ecuador.
