Freedom of Speech Suspended An article, entitled "Missouri teen who criticized school on Web page sues over suspension", caught my eye in a search on "Student's Rights". A student posted his opinion of his highschool on his own personal website. The website bashed the school's website and had some vulgar language, but it that enough to be suspended? I don't think so. Freedom of speech, freedom of press is what we are taught in school, so we should not get in trouble when we practice these rights. The kid who posted the site was suspended for 10 days! That seems a little harsh to me. I believe the school could have interfered it he had made posters around the school or sent flyers home to all of the students, but he didn't.
