Slavery Slavery took a major part in American history. Most of the slaves were brought from Africa to American Soil. American brought slaves from African because they were better workers than White. They could work on a hot day, and work day and night. Slavery was forced labor in America and if a slave refuses to do what his owner wanted him to, they were whipped. Slave was treated as a property not as a human and owned by a human and sold to another human.
