Schindler’s List At the opening of Schindler’s List I observed that Oskar Schindler was a selfish and egotistical jerk. He cared about woman and money, mostly, and did not care a dime about another soul. He even had the selfish heart to sleep with other women, aside from his wife, and tells her that he will not stop these promiscuous acts. As the Holocaust begins to take shape within the world, I saw a slowly emerging change of heart within Oskar Schindler. Oskar Schindler, a German businessman and industrialist protected Jews from Nazi persecution during World War II. At the end of the movie, Oskar frees his workers, first asking if members of the Nazi party would like to be with their families at home, and not kill the innocent. He felt deep remorse for them and with his list he saved around 1000 Jews from death during the Holocaust.
