September 11
It was 8:45 on the morning of September 11, 2001. The lives of Americans everywhere changed drastically. I was in history class when my principal’s voice came over the loud speaker. It was one filled with terror and worry. “…American Airlines Flight 11 out of Boston, crashed into one of the World Trade Center towers…” At the time I didn't realize the significance of that phrase, and now I look back and regret my ignorance that moment, maybe I just didn’t want to comprehend those words. The hands of my fellow classmates moved to their mouths and gasps of awe could be heard throughout the classroom.
