It is wrong for doctors and scientists to use cloning as a simple solution to the problem of infertility. For many couples that are unable to have children of their own, cloning may appear to be the perfect answer. ... If this idea was actually possible, cloning could become available to people all over the world. Many questions about cloning remain unanswered. ... Leon Kass, author of The Wisdom of Repugnance explains, “Through cloning we can work our wants and wills on the very identity of our children, exercising control as never before” (9). In a sense, cloning allows doctors and scientists to play the role of God.
