Currently, more and more medical researches demand animal experimentation that is used for understand disease, develop new medicine and test the safety of chemicals. In many countries, people have experimented on animals for medical researches; thousands of animals are killed every year in animal tests. Therefore, some scientists are against animal experimentation, because they consider that it is not justified and unethical. Also, they believe that animal experimentation should be banned (Lamb, 2002). On the other hand, it is being thought that there are no moral problems about using animals to do experimental tests and the result of animal experiments can provide invaluable benefits for against diseases (Klemfuss, 2002:59). ... In the first place, the debate is about whether or not people should experiment on animals for medical research, because live animals are the most appropriate trial subjects for testing medicines (Cited in Klemfuss, 2002). In some scientists¡¯ views, the animal experiments can provide invaluable benefits for medical research and will do less harm to humans because we cannot do the test on humans and use humans as experimental subjects. ... For example, a kind of new medicine was invented, scientist can know about this medicine whether is valid to the living creature from animal testing but not from human body experiments. ... Among them, all of these animals were vivisected, injected drugs or amputated, in experiment process, the animal suffered inhumane experiences. Hence, the ethic problems of animal experimentation have debated. Some scientists believed that animal experiment is not justified. ... Thirdly, Roberts et al (2002) also argue that during animal experimentation, the experimenters and holders waste lots of scanty research resources of animals that may be not died.
