Health care systems

For every healthcare system, there exists a multi-disciplinary health team. ... I will be examining what their roles they play and the contributions they make in comprehensive care.
COMPREHENSIVE CARE
What is comprehensive care? Comprehensive care is a form of medical intervention, which deals with finding the root of a health problem and not just illness that prevails from that problem. The use of an example will better help me in explaining the meaning of comprehensive care better. Lets consider that there was an outburst of TB in a community, health workers will not just treat those people infected by the disease, they would also find the source of the problem and obliterate it.
Comprehensive health care is made up of four basic principles, which are Curative, prevention, promotion and rehabilitation. ... Promotion in this case would be in the education of the community on how to avoid the health hazards that cause the TB and rehabilitation of the patient would take place by nursing him/her so as to restore him/her to health. ... It would not be easy for the health team to function without a doctor if not impossible. ...
In comprehensive care, it would only be natural to assume that doctors are mainly concerned with curative above everything else. Their main objective is to eradicate all disease from a person and nurse them to the best health status possible.
In curative, doctors assess the health of a patient and depending on the status of that particular patient, they can refer a him/her to a pharmacist for medicine/drugs, to a nurse to be monitored or kept under close supervision. ... They play an active part in preventative, promotive and rehabilitative care.
