Are We The Students Really Ready For Life

“We have prepared you to a life that does not exist, indeed, that cannot exist” are the words by Professor Jacob Neusner in a newspaper for the undergraduates of Brown University. In the “The Commencement Speech You’ll Never Hear”, Neusner mainly discusses how the school educated and treated the students and why they did that. Then he explains us how the real life that starts after the education life is completed is going to be like. He claims that schools, in which people spend a lot of time, where people attend for years and give their youth to do not resemble life itself. They don’t teach anything about life. I agree with him about the issue that schools are not the places that prepare students to life because schools treat students as if they are little kids.
Life! What does Jacob Neusner mean when he says that they haven’t prepared the students to life? The real meaning of life in the essay starts when someone graduates from a school. When you finish school and are ready to get a job and earn money, real life starts. Real life is the working life.
