Another Clear Victory for Bell
|

|
Another Clear Victory for Bell This is definitely the age of immediate communication, although there are some who are reluctant to let go of the tried and true. With the widespread availability of phone lines, it is difficult to understand why traditional letter writing still exists. Yet, in almost every mailbox a person can find at least one envelope that has been painstakingly delivered to that very box from almost anywhere in the world every day. Why the sender did not choose simply to pick up the phone and call is still a mystery. The differences between writing a letter and placing a phone call are easy to see. First, if efficiency is the reason for the communication, let’s shed some light on the subject. The traditional letter has to first be written. This in itself takes a measure of time. It then has to be addressed correctly and delivered by the postal service.
