Introduction
The purpose of this study is to explore the notion that mood/emotions are related to the color environment. The color that people see is related to the emotions that they feel. This notion of color and feelings has been tested with several age groups. ... Color appears to us through light energy and has been studied to show both physiological and psychological effects. This article will discuss the similarities and differences in color mood associations as well as those in a variety of age groups. It will show that across the board with the following studies there is no significant difference between female and male color relationships. ... Lois B Wexner (1954) critiqued this very thing as reviewed in a study by Odbert, karwoski and Eckerson (8) about color and mood associations. It is not uncommon for certain emotions to be related to certain colors. ... (8) found that the color red was associated with exiting and yellow to playful, as well as the associations of green to leisurely, purple with solemn, orange with gay and black to sad. ... He asked for judges to pick adjectives from a list that best represented the twelve emotions that were chosen for this study. ... He provided color charts for the students

Deborah Byrnes (1983) collected color associations from three hundred and thirty three children ranging from nine to eleven years of age. ...
