The Bible is one of the most important books ever written. ... As a child, I was taught that the Bible was fact and that all the events depicted actually happened. However, as I’ve grown up it’s become clear to me that the bible is predominately fiction. ... Since, I was raised as a Christian, I read the bible, went to church and bible study, and even prayed at every meal. Even though some of them seem a little silly or far-fetched to me now, back then every one who loved me said that all the stories in the bible were true. In fact I even wanted it to be true. ... It could be fun too, I even believed in Santa Clause till the 3rd grade simply because of the religious affiliation of it being Jesus’ birthday. And I wasn’t just raised with it, I was also taught Christianity in bible school.
