My Personal Goals

I don’t feel like I’m “returning” to school. For me it seems like a lifelong adventure. Although I had the opportunity to go to school right out of high school, I chose not to do so. In a way I’m glad because I don’t think I would have been happy with the career I’d chosen at that time. My college career began 25 years ago after I'd been working 5 year and has continued on and off for most of that time. Since I am pursuing my Associates degree, I feel like I’m now in the home stretch. When I first returned to school, I took courses in the areas of computer science and accounting. These proved useful in my job, especially since this was prior to the advent of desktop computers. When computers made their appearance on the business scene, I was ahead of the curve and more prepared than most of my coworkers.
