Painting is one of the different types of art. There are very many comparisons and contrasts in the two kinds of paintings. One is a painting done with oil and canvas on masonite, it portrays an adult with a child riding on a horse working in the farm. There is also a farm house which is in the countryside. The other painting is done on oil and canvas, it shows an adult herder riding on a horse at night wandering about. There are very many comparisons as both having horses, people, shadows, two horses which seem to be in motion, rocks and stones. On the other hand the contrasts visible are day and night, white and black horses, corn field and rocky desert, kid and adult riding on the saddles, horse trotting and horse ploughing, has plants and no plants, river and no river.Although there is exquisite beauty in the two paintings, there are also distinctons which allow each painting to stand on it’s own.
